A black velvet dress that Whitney Houston wore in the movie The Bodyguard will be put up for auction later this month, along with a pair of earrings. The auction which is set for next month will see the highest bidder leave with a piece of Houston’s garb in the movie that made the single “I Will Always Love You” a classic. The auction will also include a vest worn in the movie which is listed for $400. The dress is listed for $1000 but is expected to go for a higher price.

According to celebrity auctioneer Darren Julien, the items from The Bodyguard became available after the singer’s death on Feb.11.
The auction which will be held on March 31 in Beverly Hills will also sell off other Hollywood memorabilia such as Charlie Chaplin’s cane and Clark Gables jacket from Gone With The Wind.
