Backed by a haunting music track, the trailer for Iron Man 3 opens with Tony Stark laying bruised and battered in the snow. “I’ve got a lot of apologies to make,” Starks says while removing his mask.
Referencing his chaotic adventure with superhero group The Avengers, the trailer suggests that this story will take place after the events in the popular blockbuster and will feature more than just a few familiar faces.
Gwyneth Paltrow and Don Cheadle reprise their roles as Pepper Potts and Rhodey, meanwhile Guy Pearce and Ben Kingsley will be introduced to the franchise as new villains.
“Some people call me a terrorist, I consider myself a teacher. Lesson No. 1: Heroes; there is no such thing, ” the Mandarin chillingly says over the obliteration of Tony Stark’s suits and palatial ocean front retreat.
