That’s right, Woody from Toy Story dropped an f-bomb on Good Morning America today.

During his interview with Elizabeth Vargas this morning, Tom Hanks was chatting about using accents for his new film Cloud Atlas.  A clip from the film was shown, featuring Tom as a British character who had just recieved a bad review and who proceeds to go off on a major rant.

“The lesson to take away from that clip is ‘Don’t mess with me, Liz Vargas.’” Tom joked.

And Tom wasn’t kidding.  Asking if Tom could speak in the accent from the film, Tom cautioned “Oy, mostly it’s swear words” to which Liz replied “If you say it with an accent like that, they won’t know.”

But we did know.  Tom started speaking and dropped an f-bomb.

Liz immediately apologized, whereas Tom who looked like a child who’d been caught with his hand in the cookie jar said, “Man, oh man, I’m sorry.  I have never done that before. I want to apologize to the kids in America watching right now.”  Ever the comedian, Tom concluded by saying, “And let me say the next time I’m on the show there will be a seven-second delay…”

The actor then took to his Twitter page to apologize again, tweeting “For GMA, spesh kowtow for Lizzie V for WHAT DID I JUST SAY??? Oops! In character! Sorry! Hanx”

Man, oh man indeed Tom.
