The co-stars chat about their Ridley Scott action movie experience and first coming across each other’s work. Then they posed for what could be deemed “the most sizzling photo spread of the summer” with famed photographer Mario Sorrenti.
Having her fair share of sex scenes, Charlize tells the magazine: “It depends on who you’re doing the sex scene with. I don’t have issues being naked [pauses]… that sounds very slutty. What I mean is, I’m not hung up on my body and I’ve been lucky to work with people I’ve been really comfortable with.”
Meanwhile, Michael shed some insight on challenging himself when he was out of work, well before he was considered one of Hollywood’s brightest stars. The actor admits: “When I was out of work as an actor, I would give myself little challenges and diving was one of them. When I was 23, I trained for a while and finally got the courage to go up the stairs to the high board. I was at the top, and I was standing there for ages, shivering. A kid who was 10 or 11 came over to me and said, ‘The first time you jump off, you’re going to get hurt a little bit, but it won’t be as bad as you think’… I took his advice, but I didn’t fully commit. I hurt my leg.”
Charlize also had a chance to share her very first Fassbender moment saying, “Hunger. A friend said ‘you have to see this movie, it’s the best thing I’ve seen in my entire life.’ I thought, just chill out okay? But then I was absolutely blown away by it. It was, like, all bets are off from now on. This is the guy.”
