Although the Robocop reboot is facing some casting bumps, including House’s Hugh Laurie leaving the project, the film is moving full speed ahead and producers want to make a young boy’s dream come true. MGM/Sony has put out an open Canadian casting call for boys 9 to 11-years-old, with auditions being held Thursday, August 30. So you better get on it if you’re interested!

Meanwhile,  it’s only good news for X-Files 3 – at the recent Fan Expo in Toronto, Gillian Anderson reveals she’s ready to reprise her role as Agent Scully. “I met with [creator Chris Carter] before coming here and it’s looking pretty good,” she says. So with David Duchovny jumping on board a few weeks ago, X-Files enthusiasts can believe production will be going ahead.

Gillian’s announcement comes on the heels of Keanu Reeves, 47, spilling the deets on a “Bill and Ted” reprisal: “We’ve got a really good script. So we’re out there hustling and bustling, trying to see if we can get it done.” And if you think it’s odd a middle-aged-man will be playing the teenaged metalhead Ted, don’t worry, he claims they’ve figured that out with time travel. “One of the premises of the movies is that the guys were supposed to write the song to save the world,” he says. “And they haven’t written it… so they go into the future to try and find out… see if their future selves had written the song.”
