Russell Crowe and Danielle Spencer are reportedly splitting after being married for nine years. The actor, currently shooting Noah, and Danielle met on a movie set over 20 years ago and have two children, Charles, 8, and Tennyson, 6.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald the split is partly because of Russell’s crazy work schedule, and Danielle’s rumoured fling with her Dancing With The Stars Australia partner, Damian Whitewood.
The paper speculates as to whether the marriage has been over for some time now: “Friends of the pair admitted that when Crowe has come back to Sydney, he has remained at his expansive Woolloomooloo Wharf penthouse apartment. While Spencer and the couple’s two sons have been living at the $10 million Rose Bay house they bought only last year, following a long search.”
Russell is believed to have been ‘blindsided’ buy the fact the couple’s break-up has now been made public. Meanwhile, The Daily Mail says Danielle is set to take away millions from the marriage and that Russell is worth approximately $65 million.
The actor will be seen on the big screen next as Javert in Les Miserables, Broken City with Mark Wahlberg and Man With The Iron Fist.
