Ray J, Whitney Houston’s on-again/off-again boyfriend who was with Whitney Houston in her final days, has issued his first statement since the untimely passing of the legendary singer last Saturday. He tells the Associated Press he’s spent the last week trying to “process the emptiness that I feel,” and adds, “the world lost an icon, but I lost a close friend.” Referring to Whitney by her nickname, he goes on to say, “Nippy I miss you so much!”
Ray J confirms he will attend Whitney’s funeral tomorrow in Newark, New Jersey.
