The Academy is livestreaming Oscar week events with Oscar-winning producer and Foreign Language Film Award Committee Chair Mark Johnson hosting the FOREIGN LANGUAGE FILM AWARD NOMINEES SYMPOSIUM on Saturday, February 25 at 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET. It will feature a panel discussion with the directors of the movies nominated in the Foreign Language Film category, along with brief clips from the nominated films.

Also on Saturday, the day before the Oscars, there will be a MAKEUP ARTISTS AND HAIRSTYLISTS SYMPOSIUM at 2:30 p.m. PT hosted by Makeup Artists and Hairstylists Branch Governor Leonard Engelman. Viewers will enjoy a discussion with the nominees, clips from the nominated films and displays of the nominees’ work.

The live events kicked-off on Tuesday, February 21, with SHORTS! at 9:30 p.m. PT. Hosted by director and two-time Oscar winner Brad Bird, this event includes a screening of the 10 nominated films in the animated and live action short film categories. Plus, there will be a panel discussion with the groups of filmmakers.

Oscar winner and Documentary Branch governor Michael Moore hosted DOCS! on Wednesday, February 22 at 7:30 p.m. PT. Clips from the nominated short subject and feature documentaries were shown ahead of a panel discussion with the filmmakers. 

On Thursday, February 23 at 7:30 p.m. PT, actor Patton Oswalt hosted the ANIMATED FEATURE SYMPOSIUM. Viewers can watch clips from the nominated films and an onstage discussion with the filmmakers. Watch below!
