“Vampire Diaries” star Nina Dobrev is featured in the November issue of Glamour magazine, talking about the return of her hit TV show, her role in “The Perks of Being a Wallflower” and dishes on her charity work.
The 23-year-old brunette beauty talks about playing the dual role of Elena and Katherine in the “Vampire” series, with two very different looks. Revealing the differentiations in appearance help Nina get into character, Elena features straight hair, while Katherine has big sexy locks. “One hundred per cent!” she admits. “Changing my hair helps me transform.”
With the constant styling for the show, Nina exposes some of her real-life beauty secrets that help keep her tresses in shape. “I do hair masks multiple times a week,” she reveals. “And I don’t blow-dry it if I’m not working.”
But Nina wasn’t always into her looks, telling Glamour what it was like growing up north of the border before her acting career took off. “I was kind of a jock in school,” she says. “Beauty wasn’t something I spent a lot of time on. Now I ask every hair and makeup artist I work with for tips. I’m in beauty school by association!”
