Miley Cyrus shocked fans and set the twitterverse abuzz on Sunday when chopped off her long locks and gave her followers a play-by-play of her salon experience. Just before the big snip, she posted the last pic of her hair in a bun and stylist, Chris McMillan with scissors in hand; soon after, she tweeted, “It’s happening.”
The result… a bleach blonde pixie cut shaved at the sides, reminiscent of Swedish-pop musician Robyn. While Miley’s account has been swarmed with mixed tweets, the 19-year-old wrote,”Never felt more me in my whole life.”
But the war of words continues over Miley’s new look, with many fans defending the singer by suggesting she donated her hair to charity. While she hasn’t personally said anything on the subject, she has fired back at her critics saying: “My dad used to tell me ‘opinions are like a** H***s everybody has one.’ LOVE my hair ❤ feel so happy, pretty, and free.”
