Matt Damon uses bathroom humour to shed light on the global water crisis. In a new video for Water.org, the organization he co-founded, the Oscar-winning actor holds a mock press conference to announce he’s going on a ‘toilet’ strike because, “780-million people, twice the population of the United States, lack access to clean water.  2.5 billion people lack access to a toilet or basic sanitation,” he reveals to reporters. “In protest of this global tragedy,” adds Matt, “Until everyone has access to clean water and sanitation, I will not go to the bathroom.”

And the video continues by mixing startling facts with more potty jokes. In response to the Bourne star’s absurd declaration, the scrum comes back with questions like, “Are we calling this: One Matt Damon, no cup?” and “If by this strike you will not be excreting waste from your body. Does that mean both kaka and pee pee? Because if it’s just kaka, I’m with you.”

While this video is often cringe-worthy, it does a good job of highlighting the gross need for action.
