LL Cool J is used to solving crimes during his day job on “NCIS: LA”, but a real-life drama he’s dealing with right now has hit a little bit too close to home.
His rep confirms to ET Canada that the star’s house was broken into by an intruder, who the actor apprehended himself until police arrived. LL confronted the prowler in the kitchen of his residence and there was said to be a brief physical confrontation.
“LL Cool J, and his family, are safe and thank everyone for their thoughts and concern. ,” reads the statement. “As a father, husband and citizen, he is committed to keeping his family safe and is cooperating with authorities on this private matter.”
Police received a 911 call just before 1 a.m. from LL’s daughter, who said her father was holding a burglar downstairs. Officers soon arrived and took the unnamed suspect – who was later said to be homeless – into custody and was transported to a local hospital.
