Lindsay Lohan is making headlines for all the right reasons. The actress just wrapped filming on a sexy independent new thriller, The Canyons, and she’s been getting rave reviews from her director Paul Schrader and the film’s producer, Braxton Pope.

“Lindsay is an extremely gifted actress. She brings a certain charisma and a certain talent level… she really delivered a tremendous performance,” Braxton admits.
Also raving about Lindsay’s talent is Vancouver native, Nolan Funk, who has a sex scene with the actress in the movie and says they definitely had chemistry.
“I’ve never done a love scene before! I can’t say I didn’t enjoy it!” Nolan reveals. “She gives you a lot to work off of and I definitely enjoyed being in the scenes with her. You’re never bored.”
Meanwhile, James Deen, 26, is already on the A-list… in the adult film world. With an estimated 4,000 movies under his belt, The Canyons marks his first mainstream movie. “Being seen as that porn guy doesn’t bother me because I am that porn guy,” he admits. “I actually became really interested in the whole idea of making something that’s good and pure… and just a good movie and not just trying to appeal to the masses.”
James has love scenes with both Lindsay and rising star Tenille Houston, who says the porn king was a pleasure to work with. “He was so professional and he really made our sex scene really comfortable,” she tells ET Canada. “I really appreciated that because I had no idea going in – this guy’s seen anything and everything! She laughed.”
As for Lindsay, the cast loved working with her. “She’s a really sweet girl. She’s really nice, she gets it done,” Tenille says.
Pope says Lindsay was originally called in for a smaller role, but after reading the script she wanted the risque lead! He also confirms the rumours that she had her own special way of getting comfortable during her nude scenes: “Lindsay did make some requests of the crew to strip down for her nude scene… it certainty made things interesting!”
