She’s one of the world’s most hounded celebrities, but Lady Gaga says fame doesn’t stop her from eluding the paparazzi. Vogue’s latest cover girl admits to the magazine, she can still pull-off bold stunts completely incognito. Whether it’s “rolling into a bar”, dancing topless or having sex on the beach without being recognized, she says, the key to her secret escapades is in the company she keeps. Her friends don’t dish, so when she wants to “feel a little irresponsible and act like I’m nineteen”, they help the lady stay undercover.
Gaga was born to entertain, and says her music is all about feeling. “I don’t really make records for people to listen to and go, ‘Wow, she’s a genius.’ I’d really like you to order a drink, maybe kiss the person you came with that evening, or rediscover something about your past that makes you feel even more brave.”
Feeling good and looking good, Gaga’s return to Vogue is perhaps her most glamorous. For the magazine’s 120th anniversary issue, she shimmers in a Marc Jacobs fishtail gown but the star of the cover is her hair! After sharing a preview of her look she tweeted, “Who else sees me channeling @RuPaul on the COVER of VOGUE. If only I was as fierce as you b*tch. I did try to come for you with that weave.”
Watch how Lady Gaga got her monster hairstyle in the behind-the-scenes video and pick-up the September issue of Vogue when it hits stands on August 21st.
