Jon Voight is the father of one of the world’s most famous actresses, Angelina Jolie, and he himself is considered a Hollywood icon. But despite his numerous accolades, on a visit to Toronto for the UJA Federation’s fundraiser on Tuesday, he tells ET Canada what makes him the most proud is his grandchildren.

“I’m thinking about each child and how each is so different one from the other,” he gushes. “When I see them I try to spend special time with each one of them.”

And he opens up about the one he seems to have an extra special bond with, “Zizi,” he calls her. That would be Zahara, Angelina and Brad Pitt’s adopted daughter from Ethiopia.

“She seemed to know that she’s been saved,” he says with a twinkle in his eye. “When they first found her she was almost not alive and then one day she started smiling and she hasn’t stopped smiling! When I play with her she teases me, she laughs at me and she screams and it cracks her up!”

Meanwhile, despite the rampant wedding rumours, Jon’s lips were sealed when ET Canada asked him about his daughter and Brad’s special plans. “Don’t know nothing about it,” he says smiling. “Can’t give you anything, I know nothing.”

Since mending fences with Angie in 2010 after a lengthy family feud, Jon says, “everything is on track. We’re having a good time together, I love being with her. It’s great.”
