Jeremy Renner shoots down the idea that “The Bourne Legacy” is a reboot, telling us this is a whole new beginning.
The actor explains to our Matte Babel why it is important that fans of the franchise know he isn’t replacing Matt Damon: “Very important. I mean I wouldn’t have done the movie if they… wanted me to play Jason Bourne. I’m not interested.”
Jeremy is playing Aaron Cross, a CIA operative who is betrayed by his own program, in the new flick. “I saw how clever the new material was and how they put it all together,” he reveals. “And that just made it very exciting to want to go do.”
