It’s taken a ridiculously long time, but thanks to Channing Tatum’s experimental youth, we of the female persuasion are finally getting the movie we deserve.
There’s been no shortage of hype surrounding Steven Soderbergh’s stripper flick Magic Mike. The film is loosely based on the real-life stripper adventures of current “It guy” Channing and it also stars a bevy of Hollywood hotties.
Alex Pettyfer is the innocent kid, True Blood‘s Joe Manganiello is Big Dick Richie, Matt Bomer plays a living doll and Matthew McConaughey leads the charge as the crew’s cocky leader Dallas. All of them are charming, sexy and ridiculously fit, but there is no doubt that this is Channing’s movie. He has abs of steel; dances like a dream (in some really well choreographed numbers) and manages to be completely likable even while dry-humping a co-ed.

Because this is a film junket, we don’t get as much time with each stripper… I mean actor, as we normally would. But five minutes is better than nothing and I have to thank the studio for doing their best to get us in the mood. The team transformed the entire junket floor into a Tampa Male Dance Review Hall and trust me – that party vibe carried over into every interview.
