Emily VanCamp dresses down for her new GQ shoot wearing unbuttoned red cardi and a peek-a-boo bra, but it’s not just her sexy spread that’s revealing! The Revenge star also opens up to the magazine about making out with her co-star and how she likes to light it up Canuck style.
While Emily seems right at home in the Hamptons playing scheming Emily Thorne, the Ontario native says Muskoka cottage parties are more her scene: “You don’t have the same glitz and glamour as the Hamptons, but it’s definitely on the higher end. And it gets rowdy—but in a Canadian way. They’re drinking Moosehead instead of champagne, which is more my style anyways. I mean, I grew up playing hockey.”
Passing the puck wasn’t this tomboy’s only Canadian pass time and Emily admits, ” I did ballet, which taught me how to be poised and graceful, but still, to this day I’d rather be fishing than going to some glamorous party. It’s so therapeutic.”
Speaking of letting loose, you wouldn’t believe how Emily gets her kicks on-set: “I always feel like I’m playing a character when I’m in a beautiful dress, with my hair coiffed. I like getting down and dirty. It’s really fun. There’s nothing better than setting an a**hole’s house on fire. It’s those moments when I think “I love my job!”
What else does she love about her job? Hooking up with co-star Josh Bowman who she’s been dating since January. Emily says she’s not shy to share her relationship with the world, even if paparazzi are around: “I want to live happily. And if I love a person, I’m not going to be ashamed and hide it.”
