Big Brother Canada is shaping up to be the BIGGEST reality show this country has ever produced!

Thousands of people have turned out for the show’s nationwide casting call. Yesterday, it was Toronto’s turn with nearly 2,000 showing up at what was the last stop on the highly successful tour.

And, since this is Big Brother, you can expect the unexpected. Cue Mike “Boogie” Malin. The Season 7 winner of Big Brother US surprised the Toronto crowd, who went into a frenzy as soon as he entered the convention room at the Royal York Hotel that was being used as a holding area for the hopefuls.

“You all have your chance today to be in the historic first season of Big Brother Canada!” Boogie enthusiastically told his admiring audience.

When we spoke to him, Boogie couldn’t believe how many people had already shown up before dawn (about 900). “I know Canadians love the show,” he says. “And I’m very happy that they have a chance to be on a show that they love so much.”

So what was his advice for the wannabe houseguests? “Know your role,” he reveals. “If you’re the party guy, be the party guy. If you’re a nerd, be the nerd. Just don’t hold anything back.”

Big Brother Canada will premiere on Slice early next year. Stay tuned!
