Amanda Seyfried is playing the angelic Cosette in “Les Miserables”, but don’t let that fool you. The actress is getting candid with InStyle for the cover of their January 2013 issue talking onscreen stripping, her obsession with dead animals and the benefits of having a husband to whom she’s not actually married.
Just to clarify, Amanda is talking about her best friend “Alex! He’s gay. He’s my roommate and practically my husband.” The two met in LA and moved out to New York together and the actress tells the magazine that the two are one day “planning on opening an antiques and curiosities home store, which we want to call Mr. and Mrs. Nesbitt, Nesbitt is his last name.”
Meanwhile, the actress’ curiosity with dead animals started a long time ago, after a trip to Paris when she visited a store called Deyrolle. About her new favourite place to furnish her pad, “It’s one of the biggest taxidermy stores in the world… I love animals so much. From 20-feet away these look real.”
What’s Amanda’s favourite piece? “I have a baby horse named Antoine… Sparkle is a goat; Kevin’s a fox. My baby deer, Sha’Dynasty was the most expensive because I bought her from a French artist in LA. I have a chick named Linda for Linda Lovelace and an owl called Beatrix.”
And on the topic of those pesky nude scenes? Amanda says that “it’s not about me. You’re playing somebody else. You’re not going to believe a love scene if the people are dressed.” Continuing on, the 27-year-old star explains, “at the same time it has to do with how comfortable you are with letting people see your skin. For me, I’m OK with it.”
But just because she’s okay with letting people see her skin, doesn’t mean that she’s okay with people seeing every part of her. The actress says: “I don’t think I’ll ever show my labia. I’ll keep that under wraps just because of my father and my grandmother. And Finn [her dog]! He’d be so embarassed.”
